In a recent study carried out by The Brain Tumour Charity in the UK - The Life With A Brain Tumour Project, 91% of participants said that their tumour had affected their emotional or mental health. Nearly 3 in 10 people reported experiencing personality changes, such as depression, chronic feelings of anger, heightened emotions and disinhibition.
When you’re fighting the exhausting uphill battle against your own negative feelings, it can seem as if talking about it is the least productive thing you can do but in reality, your brain and body gets a lot out of talking. Expressing how you feel is healthy.
You don't have to do this alone. This is an opportunity to talk about the good the bad and the ugly... or just to listen to others in this relaxed and friendly group.
