Patient Guides

What care should you expect as a brain tumour patient? The purpose of these guides is to enable you to feel more in control, whether you are the person diagnosed with a brain tumour, a carer, family member, or a person who is important to them.

These guides are intended to help you understand what to expect at different stages of your treatment pathway.  You may find that some of the information is not relevant to you at the particular stage of your treatment in which case you can refer back to the guides later.

Here you will also find our Fact Sheets on Radiotherapy, Chemotherapy and Steroid Treatment, and our education guide Supporting students with brain tumours.

We also have three informative and educational comics covering an introduction to brain tumours (What Are Brain Tumours?), support for children who have a parent or carer with a brain tumour (Mum’s Acting a Bit Strange) and obtaining a diagnosis (Processing Your Tissue Sample in the Lab).
