Other ways to give

Give regularly, in memory, or to mark a special event. You will make the world of difference to people living with a brain tumour diagnosis…

Give a little...a lot

We’re all about making things easy at Brain Tumour Support NZ.

Can you spare $5 a week (the price of a cup of coffee)? You can really make a big difference to people who have been diagnosed with a brain tumour by giving a little regularly.

It means a lot to us and it’s so easy to set up an automatic payment - just set it and forget it!

Payroll Giving

Payroll giving enables you donate to Brain Tumour Support NZ directly from your pay and receive instant tax benefits that reduce your payable PAYE. It’s an effortless way to give regularly to Brain Tumour Support NZ while also ensuring you get the tax rebates you’re entitled to.

How payroll giving works

With payroll giving, your donation to Brain Tumour Support NZ is taken out of your regular pay before it goes into your bank account. If your donation is more than $5, you receive a third of the donation amount as an immediate tax rebate. So if you donate $15 to Brain Tumour Support NZ through payroll giving, you’ll only have a $10 reduction in your take-home pay.

With other forms of donating, you usually have to wait until the end of the tax year to claim your tax rebate. Payroll giving ensures you get the tax advantages immediately.

How do I set it up?

  1. Ask your employer if they can set up payroll giving from your wages/salary payment

  2. Give your employer our bank account details:
Account Name: BRAIN TUMOUR SUPPORT TRUST NEW ZEALAND
    Account No.: 12-3193-0028950-00

  3. Tell your employer how much you want to donate and how often. Then it’s done - simple!

For more information go to New Zealand Government Website - Payroll Giving.

Give in memory

Making a donation in memory is a very special way to commemorate the life of someone you love, while helping us to continue supporting New Zealanders diagnosed with a brain tumour and their families.

Many families find comfort in choosing Brain Tumour Support NZ as the beneficiary of donations in lieu of flowers. To avoid confusion with other brain tumour charities, please specify donations to ‘Brain Tumour Support NZ’ in the obituary.

The easiest way for people to make a donation in memory is through the Donate button on our website, remembering to include the name of the person who you are giving in memory.

Give in celebration

If you would rather not receive gifts for your special event, please nominate Brain Tumour Support NZ to receive donations on your behalf. Remember to email us at hi@braintumoursupport.org.nz so we can acknowledge your donation.
