Zoom Webinar - "It's OK to be not OK"

  • Brain Tumour Support New Zealand 15 McInnes Place Hamilton, Waikato, 3210 New Zealand (map)

Topic: “It’s OK to be not OK - a discussion about wellbeing and resilience when the going gets tough”
Speaker: Tania Anstiss, registered clinical psychologist
Date and Time: Wednesday 22 June 2022 at 7pm

We all experience times when things are particularly challenging, stressful , worrying or absolutely overwhelming. Those of us in the brain tumour community probably understand this more than most. You might be supporting your loved one through treatment, coping with the shock of diagnosis or living with the stress of ongoing monitoring.

As well as caring for your loved one, it is important that you think about yourself and what you need as the carer on this journey. This session will be a chance to hear about why this is so important, learn about ways to build your resilience, ask questions and share your experiences.

Tania Anstiss is a Registered Psychologist with many years of experience working with families and parents. Her focus is to build resilience and explore together ways to support mental health and wellbeing. Tania uses a strength based collaborative approach founded on well evidenced science. Tania is the parent of 3 adult children and is supporting her husband who received a diagnosis of Gioblastoma 2 years ago.
