Brain Tumour Support NZ at ASNO 2024

BTSNZ chair, Chris Tse, presents at the prestigious ASNO 2024 Annual Conference in Singapore via video conference.

We were delighted to have the opportunity to showcase our work on the international stage with participation in the Asian Society of Neuro-Oncology Annual Meeting (ASNO 2024) in Singapore on 18th August 2024.

Brain Tumour Support NZ chair, Chris Tse, gave a presentation on "Synergies of Healthcare and Patient Collaborations" providing a case study of how a co-ordinated clinician-patient response helped solve a potential drug shortage crisis in New Zealand. Chris then joined his wife Lynda, an 18-year glioblastoma survivor, and others in a panel discussion "How to Empower Hope in Patients and Caregivers With More Aggressive Conditions".

Chris commented: “My thanks to Brain Tumour Society Singapore president Melissa Lim for chairing the Patient Advocacy session and to all the amazing speakers and panelists who shared their knowledge. It was an incredible experience to hear the different patient experiences from across the Asia-Pacific region.”

ASNO is the largest neuro-oncology conference in the Asia-Pacific region, attracting clinicians and researchers from around the globe, including Australia and New Zealand.
