Registerations now open for Patient and Caregiver Meeting 2025

Registrations are now open for our 2025 Patient and Caregiver Meeting to be held at Christchurch Hospital on Sunday 18th May 2025 at 3:00PM.

The meeting will be held immediately after the 3rd Annual Conference of the NZ Aotearoa Neuro-Oncology Society (NANOS) and starts with a shared afternoon tea with the NANOS conference delegates and speakers.

Brain Tumour Support NZ chair, Chris Tse, will open the meeting with a brief summary of the NANOS presentations in layman’s terms. Chris’s summary will outline the best and most promising areas of brain tumour research being conducted in New Zealand and overseas, and how this research might benefit patients.

The keynote address will be delivered by Dr Craig Gedye, medical oncologist and scientific researcher from Adelaide. Dr Gedye is involved in both clinical practice and research, in particular in the area of brain cancer clinical trials. This is a rare opportunity to hear from one of Australia’s top brain cancer specialists. Dr Gedye will also be delivering the keynote address at NANOS.

Following the presentations there will be a Q&A session with our panel of experts, consisting of some of New Zealand and Australia’s prominent brain tumour clinicians and researchers. This will be an exciting opportunity to put your questions to the experts.

We hope you will join us in Otautahi / Christchurch for this informative meeting. Attendance is free however registration is required for catering purposes. Numbers will be limited so please ensure to register early!
