Brain Tumour Support Kidz website launched
Part of our mission at Brain Tumour Support NZ is to ensure that no child with a brain tumour, and their family, walks their journey alone.
Each year, approximately 35 to 40 children in New Zealand receive a brain tumour diagnosis, a life-changing event that impacts not just the child but the entire family/ whānau. Unfortunately, awareness about childhood brain tumours remains low, leaving many families feeling scared, confused, and isolated.
That's why we are excited to announce the launch of our dedicated children and families platform, BTS Kidz, under the umbrella of Brain Tumour Support NZ. Our goal is to provide unwavering support for every family affected by childhood brain tumours, regardless of where they are in New Zealand.
We understand the overwhelming emotions that come with a brain tumour diagnosis, and we are here to help. From providing essential information to offering emotional support and advocating for your family, BTS Kidz aims to be a dedicated resource for children and families affected by a brain tumour in Aotearoa.
Our support extends to families dealing with any type of childhood brain tumour, both malignant and non-malignant. There is information and resources to assist your family in living well through the challenges of a brain tumour diagnosis, treatment and beyond.
The BTS Kidz website follows the successful launch last year of our Brain Box for Kidz service and our education guide Supporting Students with Brain Tumours.
At Brain Tumour Support NZ, we believe that every child deserves a strong support system. Visit BTS Kidz today and discover a community ready to stand with you.
Because together, we're stronger.
